Clay roof tiles are a peculiarity of the Italian landscape and they have a traditional concave shape as in the oldest times. The concave tile is used to improve new buildings as well as to renovate older ones. Standard concave tiles have the inconvenience of slipping downwards, pulled by the weight of snow or moved by bad weather conditions. PICA pressed concave roof tiles have none of these problems, as each one is manufactured with cross-ribbing in order to fit perfectly to the tile above it, thereby preventing slippage. PICA concave tiles are produced using a pressing technique to ensure increased compressive strength and improved resistance at low temperatures. PICA pressed concave roof tiles are available in the moulded and engobe–colouring types, with a wide range of special pieces such as ridge tiles, end ridge tiles, 3-way ridge tiles, ventilation tiles and vents.
